Connecticut Residential Ductless Heat Pump / Ductless Mini Split Systems
Air, Inc. has installed hundreds of ductless heating and cooling systems throughout Connecticut, and offers information on how ductless systems provide home air conditioning. Another efficient way to supplement home heating is the ductless heat pump.
Ductless heat pumps heat rooms evenly for far less than electric baseboards or wall heaters. Ductless mini split systems are especially popular because they reduce costs, improve home heating and save energy by greatly minimizing the amount of fossil fuel.

Benefits of a Residential Ductless Heat Pump System:
The ductless heat pump is a highly efficient heating and cooling system. The heat pump moves rather than generates heat, making ductless heat systems up to 300% more efficient than traditional oil or gas furnaces.
Heat or cool one room or have multiple units working separately, controlled by a remote thermostat.
Easy to install, these ductless mini split systems are safe, quiet and heat rooms evenly, saving roughly 30% in total energy costs year-round, whether heating or cooling.
In homes where the primary heating source is electric heating, the ductless heat pump system may provide up to 300% energy cost savings.
How the Ductless Heat Pump / Mini Split Systems work:
Ductless mini split / heat pumps have an outside compressor and separate indoor air handling units that do not require the use of ductwork.
In warm weather a high efficiency heat pump system literally pulls the warm air out of the home and returns it as cool air.
In winter the process actually reverses, and the two-way ductless mini splits system collects heat from the outside condensing unit and transfers it indoors on the heating cycle and each unit is independently regulated by individual remote thermostats.
