Dear Air Inc.,
"In the early morning hour of Thursday, February 18th, my husband discovered that our heating system wasn't working. He told me to call our regular company who has serviced our system for 23 years. I called and they were at our home within 2 hours. After 45 minutes the man came upstairs and said that we needed a new unit. I asked him how much does something like that cost and he gave us a ball park price, and said that they would be calling us back."
"In the meantime my husband works for Sikorsky and was told by someone there, that Air Inc is the parent company and that we would get additional rebates and to give them a call. He did and scheduled an appointment the next day with Tom Clement. That night our current company called and told us what it would cost us minus the rebates. We said we would have to get back to them."
"The next day Tom showed up on time and very professional, nothing at all like the other company. He even had plastic coverings over his shoes. It took him over an hour to not only look at our system but he did a whole evaluation of our home, he took measurements of each room, plus he also looked into the attic and saw a problem there. When he was all finished he sat down with me and explained every single detail, what he recommended was best for us. I knew right there and then that this was the company for us. The only draw back for us was the price. Tom came in at a higher price. We explained this to Tom and he spoke to his boss and was able to get the price down. Still too high for us. In the meantime the other company was making counteroffers for us to do business with them. I on the other hand did not like how the other company presented themselves, yes we have known them for years but on something so expensive as this, I felt they should have came to our home and explained what equipment we would be receiving etc. My husband and I knew nothing about a 13.5 seer opposed to a 15 seer, a dehumidifier system but we do now thanks to Tom."
"The other company was making it very affordable for us to do business with them, they went down to very low price,and by now my husband said that we had to go with them because of the cost. I was very upset. He called Tom and explained to him and apologized that we couldn't do business with him that we were going with the other company only because they came in at what we could of afforded. Tom again said let me talk to my boss and see what I can do. It was a miracle, Tom came in at a phenominal price and with all the rebates it would cost us even less. There was a difference of $200 from the other company. So Tom split the difference with us and we went with him. The next day my husband had to call the other company to give them the courtesy that we wouldn't be doing business with them. The owner made him feel so bad, he said how can you do this to us, we're like family, I'll give you the bigger unit, I'll add service contracts, etc., but my husband knew that I really wanted Air Inc., so he thanked him and that was it. It bothered my husband for days over what happened, he questioned me so many times if we made the right decision and I kept assuring him we did. On Tuesday March 2nd, 2010, two men came and installed the units. They finished on Wednesday. Everything is running perfect. The guys were so nice, so professional, explained everything to me even how to use the new thermostat. I would also like for you to recognize the two men that installed the units. They weren't rushing to finish the job, they made sure I knew everything about the system they installed, they knew they had a distance to travel but they didn't rush, they made sure the job was done right. We are so happy. I would like for you to recognize Tom and all that he did to get us to go with your company. He even loaned us heaters. Tom is one of the nicest people I have come in contact with. He saw our financial situation and really worked with us. He is such a valued employee and I would recommend him and your company. As a matter of fact I have recommended your company to a guy that works with me, who lives in Sheldon. He thinks his heating system is going and I said call no one except Tom from Air Inc.
