Gas, Electric & Tankless Water Heater Installation
We install and replace gas, electric, and tankless water heaters for Branford homes. Before recommending a specific model, we evaluate the home’s venting, gas line capacity, and electrical service. That upfront assessment helps avoid surprises on installation day and confirms the unit we install is suited to your home.
Our technicians receive factory-level training on the brands we install, including Rheem, Ruud, and Navien. We know the equipment, not just the general installation procedure.
Choosing the Right Water Heater Type
The right choice depends on your home’s setup, your utility rates, and how much hot water your household uses. A few factors worth understanding:
Gas vs. Electric
Gas water heaters typically carry a higher installation cost but lower operating costs. Electric models are simpler to install but may cost more to run depending on local utility rates.
Tank vs. Tankless
Traditional tank water heaters are reliable and lower-cost upfront. Tankless units heat water on demand and can reach efficiencies up to 99%, compared to roughly 58% to 68% for conventional tank models. They also mount directly to a wall, so they don’t require floor space for a tank.
Uniform Energy Factor (UEF)
The UEF rating measures how efficiently a water heater converts fuel into hot water. A higher UEF means less wasted energy and lower utility costs over the unit’s lifespan. We walk you through these numbers so you can weigh upfront cost against long-term savings.
Honest Recommendations, Not a Sales Pitch
We aren’t interested in recommending a replacement when a repair will do, or in steering you toward equipment that doesn’t fit your home or budget. Our technicians evaluate your situation, walk through the available options, and give you a clear recommendation you can act on with confidence. That’s the approach we’ve taken for over thirty years, and it’s why homeowners in Branford keep calling us back.

With a multi-zone ductless heat pump, you can connect multiple indoor air handlers—often up to eight—to heat and cool different rooms independently.
-
A ductless heat pump works by moving heat, not creating it. In the summer, it pulls heat out of your home to keep you cool. In the winter, it extracts heat from the outdoor air—even when it’s cold—and brings it inside. Each indoor unit controls the temperature of its own room, providing efficient, quiet comfort without ductwork.

You should never have to add refrigerant (Freon) to your central air conditioning system, unless there is a leak in the system.
If your system has a leak, a service technician should never be "topping it off" with refrigerant. The system needs to be leak tested and the leak needs to be repaired.
A refrigerant leak WILL harm the compressor, cause the system to draw more electricity, provide inadequate cooling and/or heating if it is a heat pump.
Many refrigerants are being banned due to the ozone depleting chemicals. That is another reason that ALL refrigerant leaks need to be repaired and not topped off with more refrigerant.
Refrigerant repairs on older central air conditioning systems can get costly, so you may be better off replacing your system.
